We are in the midst of a digitally enabled transformation so profound that organizations, societies, communities, governments, and perhaps humanity itself will be fundamentally altered over the next decades. Leaders can no longer continue to fix and make changes to the status quo hierarchical organization design to achieve stability and short term competitive advantage in a world that changes even before they can implement the next initiative.
Many “experts” are claiming to have the answer, but real solutions are just beginning to emerge. The STARLab Alliance was formed to discover and co-create solutions that currently don’t exist. We believe that the only way to be ready for the future is to start to put it in place now.
STARLab Alliance, Inc is in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) status and is funded through grants, member subscriptions, and participant fees. Individuals from three leading organizations came together in 2017 to form the STARLab Alliance including The Center for Creative Leadership, SPRING Network, and the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business’ Center for Effective Organizations.
These institutions have decades’ long experience in both applied research and practice. Learning has been generated collaboratively with diverse enterprises as participating organizations “designed themselves” through transformation. All three work with corporate leaders to forge sustainable futures for their companies. The founders bring deep expertise in strategy, organization design and execution, particularly in the context of rapidly advancing technology and globalization.
