STARLab Alliance is a network of partners working together to advance our collective knowledge and understanding of organization design components, design methodologies, guiding principles, and ethical underpinnings of the organization of the future. Its specific emphasis will be the implications of technology and digital disruption on organization and performance, the future of work, and leadership. The primary methodology will be to generate learning from the experiences of alliance members that will enable rapid iteration as they work through transition they are facing.
Much has been written about how rapid advances in digitization are changing the nature of work and organizations. This alliance will focus specifically on how to design organizations for this future. Organizations are social institutions, and as such the social and technical aspects must be simultaneously designed in order to accomplish the business imperatives of organizations and deliver needed value to customers and other stakeholders.
